Hi All,
An update on the Database Story: 

Story: OA Database
Subtask: Discovery
Status: Complete 
Story Points: 2

Summary:
Discovery of current process, procedures, forms, captured data and product owner 
introductions.

Detailed Summary:
I met with Pam and Heather over the past week to find out what they have and 
what they need.

Heather has done an outstanding job of capturing volunteer information.  We now 
have an unknown amount of data from everyone that's passed through the OWS @ 
City Hall. 
We are streamlining the "sign-up" sheet to give it a more professional 
appearance and streamlining this as well.
We have discussed how to collect and best secure the data.  It will be kept 
either with the lockbox or be handed off to Pam/Heather/or myself.  (I am trying 
not to own this piece and I'm limiting my activities for this sprint to 
discovery only per our last meeting.)
I have our meeting notes available to whoever is interested.

Project backlog:
Data entry to get personal information into an electronic format
PC's/location for data entry
Database design/hosting/equipment
Data needs to be easily secured/encrypted/recoverable
Data collection point/record storage?
Integration with national database?

Backlog for Other Stories (things to consider moving forward as we grow)
CSM (Constituent Service Management) software or some other Just-in-time 
volunteering system with web integration
Kanban inventory management process for Occupy logistics/volunteer 
syncronization
Agile and Kanban process training for IT and process development?

Next Steps:
Discuss with IT Team
Auction of next sub-tasks
