I'm not proposing Linux, just Chrome. My message mentioned nothing of
OS, just asked if we could use a platform that supported some more
modern HTML 5 features, and is probably lighter-weight than Firefox to
boot. Happy to help out with the sysadmin stuff, particularly if we do
use Linux since I can just SSH in rather than access an inaccessible
system locally, but I have nothing against Windows in this situation.
Though my sense is that greater than 90% of our users will just want a
browser, and at that point I don't think it matters all that much
whether the browser is running on Linux or Windows.
