John Young is the publisher of Cryptome, a website publishing secrets
since June 1996. He has stepped up to provide a useful contrarian
viewpoint on the motivations of Assange and the Wikileaks project.
Young was invited to participate in the founding of the organization,
going so far as to put his contact information on the original domain
registration. He stepped away after deciding the organization had
intent to sell acquired information to interested parties. When doing
so, he decided to publish the redacted contents of a private Wikileaks
organizer mailing list (December 2006 - January 2007):

That was followed up with the cleartext of the next two days of
communications on the list, names and email addresses included:
